When my 79-year-old father expressed a desire to attend the World War II Memorial Dedication in Washington, DC, my siblings and I determined to make it happen. My sister Gail and her husband Larry stayed in California to look after our mother, while I flew to DC with Dad. My brother Bruce lives in Springfield, Virginia, so he and his wife Jane provided our transportation, lodging, and so much more. A work in progress, what follows are some of the photos I shot on our four day trip. They are arranged in chronological order, because I haven't thought of a better way to tell this particular story.
