This was my first actual "formal" portrait session. I tried to maintain lowered expectations (See, watching Bush debating was useful after all.) and then to make up in volume (~200 shots) what I lack in experience and talent. We actually got some nice shots out of the session. Having a pretty model helps a lot. I had a couple of studio lights, but I was using a diffusing (white) umbrella rather than a more reflective one, so the contrast between the near side of her face and the sunlit side is a little too much. Anyway, it was really fun playing a photographer for a few hours. Hell, pretty soon I'll be ready for the nudes. :)
