Messier-2 / NGC-7089

Sedro-Woolley, Wa.

Origonaly discovered in 1746 by Jean-Dominique Maraldi in 1746, Charles Messier rediscovered it in 1760 and added to his catalog.
William Herschel resolved individual stars of the cluster in 1783.
This cluster is about 37,500 light years away from the earth containing about 150,000 stars.
Celestial North is left and East is down.

Hutech Clear Filter 40D,Skywatcher 120ED @ F6.6 Borg reducer (7887)
RA21hr 34min Dec -45 arcmin.
8, 5 minute exposures were stacked and preprocessed with Nebulosity.
Final processing was done with Cannon DPP.
A Baader Moon/SkyGlow filter was used with a Skywatcher 120ED scope and Borg 0.85 reducer flattener.
The mount was an older Mountain Instrument tangent arm equatorial mount guided with a Borg 77ACH guide scope with Orion Star Shoot autoguider. full exif
