Flame & Horsehead Nebulas

Sedro-Woolley, Wa.

Image Center RA: 05h41m28.331s DE:-02°08'40.20"
Celestial North to the left and Celesial East at the bottom of the photo.
The Flame Nebula also known as NGC 2024 in the Orion Constillation is 9 to 14 hundred light years away.
The Horsehead Nebula / IC434 to the right center of the photo is named for the resemblance of the dust cloud formation to a horses head.
The horse head nebula is about 1500 light years from earth. The Horsehead itself is B33.
The bright blue star to the left center is Alnitak, which is the lower left star in Orions' belt.
The bright bluish nebula toward the lower center of the picture is !C 434
