ORION Nebula

The red is caused by glowing hydrogen gas.
The blue is from star light reflecting off of galactic dust.
The darkest and muddy looking parts of the photo are galactic
dust blocking light from stars behind the dust clouds.
The overexposure in the nebula is from a number of reportedly young, and bright stars.
