Very nice panos - you are one of a very few shooting this type of image who still incorporates good composition and uses the format to an advantage rather than just shooting what I call "slot shots" Too bad you feel compelled to put your watermark on everthing - especially so large.

A friend here in Vancouver, British Columbia homestays students from Korea and so I was interested in seeing pictures of Korea after talking with them. Fortunately I came upon yours so I definately want to put Korea on my agenda for next year after viewing your fabulous photos. Any suggestions as to areas to visit?

Hi David! I think your photo's are just fantastic. The colors in them are exceptional. You have truely captured the heart and essence of Korea, through your camera lens, you have made a scene feel like the watcher is a part of it. Really superb. I am living in Korea and find your work magic. I was wondering if you have been to Gyoungju, home of Shilla dynasty in Korea? Also do you sell posters or do you have a book? Hi Isaac. Thank you for visiting my galleries and posting your kind comments. While shooting pans, I do not have a certain width angle in mind. I let the scene determine the width of the pan. None of these here go beyond 180, but it is easily done up to a 360 and also with multiple rows. Korea has many hidden treasures that will satisfy the interests of anyone. You will not be dissappointed. Look closely, for much of the beauty is often overlooked. Let me know if you need any info.

I said to little. Now I must ask if there is an effective angle of view that you are trying to achieve? Are you going beyond 180 degrees. It is difficult to tell.

I am hoping to be traveling to South Korea for a year starting in January. I WAS wondering if the photographic possibilities would be good for a true hobbyist like myself. Then......I saw your site. Time to upgrade my equipment.

Thank you for your encouraging comments, Ramamohan. I use a leveled tripod to capture the desired number of images sequenced from left to right. The trick is to find a stitching program that works for that image. I have yet to find ONE panorama stitching program that works best EVERY time. And I have tried many. The other problem is that each program recommends a different % of overlap between frames! Anywhere between 15-50%. And is does make a difference. So if you're not sure which program will work best later, it's a guess for the % overlap while you're shooting! Anyway, I typically shoot with about 25-35% overlap. I just key on an object in the frame and that's how far I swing over for the leading edge of next frame. No measurement devices used. If possible, keep you camera level. They stitch easier without the warping. If you do point up/down as you pan, it will limit your program choices. Some don't handle this well. Recently, I've been using Pixtra PanoStitcher with good results. It's easy and very fast compared to most. There is a wide price range fo stitching programs also.
