In 1992, the Italian restaurant "Il Felice" in Lichfield street, Christchurch, proposed to David Lara the creation of a new menu and new logo for their business. After the first meeting, this simple proposal became a full project involving 22 large sized murals to be painted directly on the walls of the restaurant, the design and construction of a new bar and the construction of a mosaic for the cashier's desk.
With the collaboration of local artist Tiffany de Castro on the murals, German wood artist Hans Janus on the construction of the bar and British iron master David Hill on the works in copper, the project took eight months to be completed.
