From atop the Gladesville Bridge (again, from 2009) you get a fine view of the harbour below. The
exact point at which Parramatta River is more properly known as Port Jackson is not especially well
defined but many people regard that point as here - the Gladesville Bridge. Some insist that it is
the point at which the Lane Cove River joins the Parramatta. Others say it is at Balmain. Still
others talk about Cockatoo Island. When Arthur Phillip, sailed into Sydney Harbour, naming it Port
Jackson, I don't think he had any rigorous boundary in mind. This'll do me.
