If one makes it to the entrance of Five Dock Bay and moves around the point toward Drummoyne Bay,
you eventually pass under the Gladesville Bridge. At the time of its completion, in the late 1960s,
this crossing of the Parramatta River was the longest concrete arch bridge in the world. Across the
other side is Huntleys Point, along with its little bay crammed with pleasure craft. You can't have
Sydney Harbour without its boats ... everywhere. I did originally plan to walk via Huntleys Point
across this bridge but we changed the route because there was more waterside reserve on this
southern side. Incidentally this particular picture was shot during a similar walking project, back in 2009.
