We join Lyons Road West along the water, in the suburb of Fivedock. We have completed the trek up
one side of Hen & Chicken Bay (and its two branches). It has taken nearly ninety minutes. The
eastern side of the bay is a good deal shorter than the western side because there are no
deviations but the chances of catching the 1:28 pm rivercat from Abbotsford wharf seem slim, to say
the least. Our feet are getting sore and we have been walking for nearly three and three quarter
hours in total. Time to call it a day. We walk to the nearest bus stop and catch the next bus
directly to Central Station for the trip home.
