This most distressed looking tree looks as if it may have been struck by lightning or something.
Actually I think that it may be a particular species which actually looks like this as a matter of
course. My wife will check it out and I shall put the information up when I know. In any event
after several hours of uninspiring scenery, boredom, rain, wind and various aches and pains, we
slowly trudge into Kurnell. It hasn't been entirely pleasant going but we could naver have claimed
