WCS1227.jpg

Along the top of this section of cliff, called The Gap Bluff, is a sturdy metal safety fence which we
follow south. Now we come in sight of The Gap proper. Notice the weirdly eroded section of rock
jutting out by itself. A crumbling piece of rocky soil combines with wind born nutrients to enable
a hardy looking plant to survive. As we move along the clifftop, we spy many such oddities. Gerry
is able to see animal shapes in the formations. I am pleasently surprised at the imagination which
my ever-practical companion calls forth.

It is amazing how that rock is cantilevered out over the water. Nice how the fence leads the eye up to the town perched on the edge of the cliff. A lovely scene, and very sharp all the way through. V
