It is just over a month later and we have returned to the finishing point from stage one, ready to begin stage two. The Whale Beach Surf Life Saving Club
is the large building in the background. All of these northern beaches have their own local S.L.S.C. This particular club was formed in 1937. It hosts
the annual 2.8km "Big Swim" from Palm Beach around Little Head to Whale Beach. Last season, around 1,900 swimmers took part.
