These are photos of friends we associate most closely with our time in New York and San Francisco though, obviously, some were taken when they visited us in L.A. Aaron and Tommy even lived with us for a while in Venice.

We have arranged most of these shots alphabetically by first name.

Many of the dates on these photos are approximate. Although one usually thinks of black&white images as being older than color that is often not the case here. Many of the color shots were taken with a point-and-shoot instamatic camera that we had originally bought in New York. In Venice, about 1977, we got a 35mm SLR camera and began shooting mostly B&W.
