The Last Phone Book

With the ascendency of cell phones, there is not much call for phone booths these days, or phone books. This book hangs in an abandoned booth at Tom's Welding, near Route 66, in Barstow, CA.

A thought provoking image...well seen.

Well seen! (I didn't.) And it's odd to even think about a real phone, or phone directory anymore that's printed in a book. This one sure has seen better days, and looks like it maybe had been a little charred in a fire at one time. Stlll the information looks to be mostly in tact.
