During the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial services in Washington D.C. in May of 2007 the name of William Austin Boyatt was added to the Memorial Wall. After a delay of almost 50 years, his name is now along side of other Law Enforcements Officers who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Constable William Austin Boyatt, of the McCreary County, Ky., Sheriff's Office, who was shot to death in December 1960 while investigating a suspicious vehicle.
