I am looking for a picture of Martha Elizabeth Langston Strickland 1835-1889 from Wayne County, North Carolina. She married Levi Strickland. Her father was Uriah but I don't think it's the same Uriah that has the 5 page will in this gallery. Martha was my Gr.Gr.Gr. Grandmother. Thank you!

This is a wonderful site! Thank you to all those who set it up & are keeping it going.
My Delila Langston md Benjamin Bennett about 1790, they lived on Lightwood Log Creek GA - at that time the boundary between Franklin & Wilkes (soon to be Elbert), Counties, now mostly under waters of Hart Dam. They had a brief jaunt up into TN, leaving my gr-grampa Micajah who had married Margret McCollister there about 1715, then to Lawrence Co MS where Ben died 1864. Delila's parents were John Langston (died by 1785 Union Co SC, when his estate is settled), & Lydia ___, who md 2nd William Bennett & she, at least ended up in TN. This John Langston is either son of John Langston d 1790 nearby, (yes, after son John died) or somehow descended from Leonard Langston. Benjamin & Delilah named one of their sons Langston Bennett, & he named a son Leonard Langston Bennett.

I have just seen this site. I am the son of Carlos Langston, grandson of Volney Langston, Great Grandson of Dempsey Langston, Great-Great Grandson of John Langston. My uncle, James V. Langston published a volume of the Langston Family History, containing data from our part of this family. A cousin of mine, Clyde Burford, lives in the Tampa area and probably has a copy of this book. Are you interested in gaining this information? Please contact me if you are interested.

I am the granddaughter of Jacob Irvin & Gertrude Cain Langston of Spring Creek. My mother, Alpha Langston (living) grew up in Spring Creek with her siblings. She could be of great assistance. She has a couple of paintings of the house they grew up in over the boil, by a MD artist. some photos.
