Allegheny National Forest, PA

On Friday I packed up the camping gear and headed to my favorite spot in the Allegheny National Forest. I’ve been coming to this particular spot for about 14 years. It’s off a dead end dirt road that goes about 6 miles back into some of the more isolated forest around here. I LOVE IT! The only sound is that of birds, including turkeys, coyotes and the rustle of leaves from the wind and all the little creatures that live here (and the occasional plane passing overhead of course). I set my camera on a tripod and used the remote timer to photo me kicking around the camp. By the time Cat and the girl arrived all was set and waiting for them to join me for a wonderful weekend of outdoor pleasure.

<<<born and raised Pa Girl. Wow, so nice!! My grandparents had a permenant camp in Pine Creek Valley (watertown) for years. Grandma since passed away recently and the camp will stay in the family :), but it wont be the same with out her. The mountains of PA are so beautiful!!!! I love the Wild Life. The Bear would come in every night, the little cubs were adorable! I love the fox, deer, flying squirrels! Even the little chipmunks kept us amused! Your so Lucky!! I hope to get back this summer and take the kids to camp! Not to mention cruising in my grandmas 1946 Jeep!!! And the swimming holes!! Hope to see more pics of camp :) Makes me homesick!! LoL
