Allegheny National Forest, PA

This was taken on the second day of camping and exploring with a good buddy in the mountains. The rocks where this is at is a location I’ve gone to since I was a small child. It’s somewhat hidden at the top of a mountain and is very special to me. We found a LOT of bear sign, i.e., prints and dung, all through here. Apparently a black bear had spent some time feasting on a deer carcass we found the remains of at some time this past winter.

You can see more photos from this day and the next in my Allegheny National Forest Gallery.

Love the severity of the angle here! Great wide shot perspective.
