I went for a short stroll in the park today but I had some trouble focusing on taking a photo, as I am worried about one of my cats. She has developed a serious inner ear malfunction and can’t stand up with out falling over. I was up all last night tending to her needs…

Anyway, I did spot this Blue Jay, Cyanocitta cristata, while walking. I’ll try not to fill my April gallery with birdshots, but I liked this one so…

(The funny thing is, when I first left for my walk I heard a Blue Jay call and I thought it would be nice to eventually get a good shot of one.)

This is fabulous. I've been trying like mad to get a good blue jay shot but never get nice saturated blues like this. Great catch!

Nice, Ron. I've been trying, unsuccessfully, to catch the blue jay or the cardinal that visits the tree outside my office window.
