Saxonburg, PA

In order to thank Jeanne Ricci the host of All Photo a Day Sites a few of us “PADers” are posting photos of flowers.

I drove north into the countryside looking for greenhouses. The first one was closed but the second one had a car in the lot. The door was open and I went in. No one was around so I stood in the entrance for about 25 minutes waiting for my camera to adjust to the humid interior. I then wandered all the way to the back of this very large place looking for someone to ask if I could shoot. I didn’t find a soul. I decided to “shoot my way out.” LOL

This photograph just shows what a great lens the Canon 17-40 is. But in the hands of this photographer it makes the lens outstanding. Great photo.

Of many very fine flower shots on this day, this is the most original - I really like the story behind it. And a very fine shot, indeed.

Remarkable color and DOF, Ron - well done! I think that 17-40mm f/4L is going to be a "must buy." *grin*

A superb photo, Ron. Garden centres provide opportunities but items are often spoilt with large price labels over in UK. Have a good new year!

Alot of effort, but well worth it!! This is so cool! I love this composition!

Thank you Ron, it has been a blast this year, being part of this fun group, and I really have grown very fond of the community feel on PBASE! Happy New Year to you and Kat!
