After finishing the Routeburn Track I joined one of the many, many buses driving out to Milford Sound every day to see the spectacular fjord. The bus makes a few stops along the way, where the biggest impressions are actually made by the number of tourists that gather here. Once you reach the Sound however and take off on a boat tour, the other vessels and visitors completely disappear against the immense backdrop of Mitre Peak and it's surroundings.
