Djauk is a Balinese classical dance inspired by the repertoire of Mahabharata or Ramayana. The dancer, masked, is supposed to reproduce the movements of a demon. He can fix the audience for a long time to the sound of a throbbing music then as the music bursts into a frantic rhythm he leaps suddenly towards the audience.
