Saint Ivi serait un fils de Nonne, une jeune religieuse qui aurait fui le Pays de Galles, sa terre natale, après avoir été violée par un prince.. Elle trouva refuge dans la forêt de Talarmon où elle fonda un ermitage sous des chênes.
Le petit Idy ( ou David), né de ce viol, entra lui aussi en religion et il eut pour condisciples Pol Aurélien, avec qui il vint évangéliser l’Armorique.

Saint Ivi is believed to be a son of Nonne, a young nun who fled Wales, her native land, after being raped by a prince.. She found refuge in the forest of Talarmon where she founded a hermitage under oaks.
Little Idy (or David), born of this rape, also entered into religion and had for his fellow Pol Aurélien, with whom he came to evangelize Armorica.
