Tu-Pe-Tu.

I think one of the most enigmatic sculptures in the valley. It looks like an Apache chief or a Powow ’s Shaman....
Saint Diboan is said to have been born in Armorica and is the one who “removes pain”, he is implored to solve many evils including deafness.
But Diboan is also called Tu-pe-Tu, a name which has nothing of «Christian». It could in fact be an avatar of Dagda, one of the major gods of the Celtic pantheon, whose attributes are a wheel and a club that kills on one side and resurrects on the other, a kind of an Armorican Shiva in a way that dances for the regeneration of the world.

indeed, a face like a Sioux shaman, yet the robes of a Christian shaman...fine image to display him prominently amid the various other statues..
