Sant Enogad.

Much of our knowledge of the Breton Saints is due to the hagiographer Albert the Great who lived in the seventeenth century, more than a thousand years after the arrival of the Bretons in Armorica. ! He used ancient manuscripts compiled by the monks of the Middle Ages in the scriptoriums of the abbeys. Many of these manuscripts disappeared after the work of Albert the Great, making it difficult for current researchers who have only fragmentary and uncertain sources.
Concerning Saint Enogad it is known only that he was a monk restorer of abbeys and renowned for his talents as administrator. He died in 631. He is the patron saint of the city of Dinard.

strong POV, as Enogad seems to loom large over his colleagues...people like Alfred the Great have provided such riches to humanity in relating the knowledge saved by monks..
