Hommage.

Kangchenjunga . Viewed from Sikkim.

The amazing adventurer and novelist Alexandra David-Néel, (1868-1969), first woman to reach Tibet which was forbidden to foreigners (1924), lived several months in Sikkim, either at the British Residence or in various monasteries. There she built a “hut” in which she lived for several weeks.

(1927, « My Journey to Lhasa » - « Lettres à son mari. 1904-1940 » published in 1975. This one not translate in English, I think and so many others books...)

I think this is an English-language translation of the same book, available from our local library when it eventually reopens: https://catalogue.gleneira.vic.gov.au/cgi-bin/spydus.exe/FULL/WPAC/BIBENQ/10117624/16527755,1
