East Sikkim.

Gangtok, capitale du Sikkim, est située à 1700 mètres d’altitude.
Le Sikkim fut un royaume indépendant jusqu’en 1975. Il était dirigé par le Chogyal (roi). L’inde profita d’une révolte de Népalais vivants au Sikkim pour reprendre en main le royaume qui appartient désormais à l’Union Indienne.

Gangtok, capital of Sikkim, is located at an altitude of 1700 meters.
The Sikkim was an independent kingdom until 1975. It was ruled by the Chogyal (King). India took advantage of a revolt of Nepalese living in Sikkim to take over the kingdom that now belongs to the Indian Union.
