Punakha Dzong.

West Bhutan

Un Dzong est une citadelle qui abrite les pouvoirs civil et religieux. Celui de Punakha fut bâti en 1637 par le Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel, personnage historique essentiel de l’Histoire Bhoutanaise car il fur l’unificateur du royaume.
Le Dzong de Punakha est l’un des plus beau du Bhoutan et il fut, trois sičcles durant, la capitale d’hiver.

A Dzong is a citadel sheltering both civil and religious powers. Punakha Dzong was built in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel, an essential historical figure in Bhutanese history because he became the unifier of the kingdom.
Punakha’s Dzong is one of the most beautiful in Bhutan and for three centuries it was the winter capital.
