One of the routines, since we spent so long in the field at a time, was to catch up on soldiers' shot records when we (finally) went back to any basecamp. When we went back to Lai Khe basecamp after Operation Paul Bunyan II, in Sept. '67, we had been out for about 90 days. We had a regular assembly line going, with some of the medics checking the records and others drawing up and giving the injections. That's what I'm doing in this photo. It wasn't unusual for soldiers to get 5-7 shots at one time. Henry Ford would have been proud of us.
