Here's my first test shot with an el-cheapo HVLP gun I bought at a tool sale. I think this gun will be relegated to primer duty due to a poor seal between the cap and cup.
Mixed 2 parts paint to one+ part Naptha, the recommended thinner when spraying this paint. My theory is that they suggest Naptha because it dries slowly. I intend to try other samples using different thinners. Little prep on this panel, just breaking the shine with a scotch pad, clean with cleaner and spray.
As expected, dust is going to be an issue because of the long dry time. I'm hoping light color sanding and polishing will be all I'll need to get the chunks down. Hoping the hardener makes the paint sand easier.
More experiments to come
