Fake Strawberry

Qualicum Beach Heritage Forest

Potentilla indica, known commonly as mock strawberry, Indian strawberry, or snakeberry in North America, is a flowering plant in the family Rosaceae. Mock strawberries (Potentilla indica) are generally considered safe to eat, though they are not known for their flavor. They are edible, but their taste is often described as bland or watery, not like the sweet taste of regular strawberries. The animals liked this one.
