Field Trip - November 2023
A Somewhat Patient Fisher and Silky Water

Big Qualicum Fish Hatchery, Vancouver Island, BC

A heron was perched alongside one of the salmon holding areas waiting for an easy catch and a tasty meal. Perfect! A chance to try my newest experiment.

*The Experiment: Trying to get silky water with a live bird as the focus.
*The Frustration: Birds just can't be controlled. I clicked when the bird moved..ugh!
*The Result: Part of a leg has disappeared, but the bird is still standing, so it must not be too important???
*The Conclusion: It's worked once before so it should be repeatable, just be prepared to take LOTS of shots, stay calm and have LOTS of patience. A motionless bird and deep breathing help ;-)
