Estimated at over 600 years old, and now well beyond it's prime (think it died) this Veteran of the forest had lived through fires, lightning, logging, and wet and dry spells. Eagles, hawks, ravens, crows, turkey buzzards, and small birds frequently perch on this land mark that towers over the banks of Kinkade creek just off the Island Highway on the west side between Qualicum and Buckley Bay.
