The Vancouver Island Marmot are an endangered critter and are
naturally seen in the high mountain areas on our Island.
An adult marmot typically measures 25-27 inches and weighs about 12-16 pounds.
The marmots live in burrows, are herbivores and hibernate from about
late September to early May.
