Thanks to Arthur Perry I was spurred to revisit Millstone Ck this fall... a very quick detour en route to a Dr. appointment on Rutherford Rd. in Nanaimo.

BUT, I missed capturing the biggest, sleekest black bear I've seen on Vancouver Island.
It hightailed it across the road right in front of my car on Rutherford Rd, about 700m north of Uplands Rd... and disappeared into shrubbery.
