The Kinsol Trestle is most likely the highest
wooden railway trestle in the world, at 145 ft
high and 614 ft long with a curve. It is now
being restored, not as a train trestle, but as a
walking, biking and equestrian trail. Work should
be completed by March 2011.
This is from the north side of Kinsol Trestle, as
we're told the south access is now blocked.
They have blocked off the normal path and built a
new side path. But, wouldn't you know I
didn't bring the proper shoes to get down
there.
