The babies are here and the male swan was actively protecting one of the cygnets
as he went for his first swim. Not even the blackbirds were allowed to get close!

Brilliant shot, with a perfect DOF so the youngling is also well in focus. Amazing feather details on the parent, despite how dark the plumage is. Gail R.
