We noticed the flowers first and then realized the rock is a memorial.

That's not a smudge you're seeing but the top of a wave - there is a bit of a white cap in the middle of the wave, but the wave actually carried on behind the bench. DonnaE

A lovely scene, but two suggestions: Perhaps brighten it a bit with Curves or some such, and also, there's a large smudge vertically halfway from horizon to top of frame on the left, just offset from the left-hand edge of the bench.
