The blotchy sky is caused by compression. Try using a different method of reducing size or by cloning the affected area.

Nice sharp, blustery ocean scene, but two things, to me, detract: The tiny bird across from the lighthouse or buoy pulls the eye, but is too small to identify. Secondly, the grey is very blotchy, but I don't know what has caused that.

The touch of red on the lighthouse brings life to this otherwise
monochromatic image. Very nice.
