I love images with feeling like this which illustrate the transitory, arbitrary nature of things. It's as if to say: "Ah. Look at those colorful things. But quick, it's time to move on." Such is the deterministism of human fate. The bicycle's outsized human ego can not escape dutifully tracking the white lines of fate, encountering new experiences that must be allowed to whisp by on the way. Whoa for now. Ok, "brilliant". -tv

Did I hear someone say brilliant........I'm not sure if I heard you correctly....could you say it again.....& again ...& again:-)
Thanks Carole:-)hehe

This is terrific Rod! The mono look to this really makes the yellow and blue stand out, even though they are just spots of color in the total composition - brilliant! :-) CJ

Ah yes that was outside my house, I cheated on that one if I remember correctly & put the flattened box there:-)
ctfchallenge30-Apr-2008 19:13
the flattened box - i think it was chinese Debi
Rod 30-Apr-2008 08:25
Thanks Penny & Debi:-) I don't know wot picy you're referring to in the box challenge Debi, I don't think I've shot here before. Mind you roads do have a samey look a:-)
ctfchallenge29-Apr-2008 19:46
is this the same road from the box challenge? Debi
ctfchallenge29-Apr-2008 19:45
me too while the cycle was not the focal point, since it occupies a lot of space it was distracting - Debi

I like it better! Penny Street

Thanks Penny Lydia & Doug:-) Lydia if you think you could do it I would like you comment on me picys that may not do anything for you, that way I can look into them a bit more. Yes I noticed the brighter parts of the bike when PPing the picy but thought I would leave them alone but now you mention it will burn them in to keep in your good books:-)

This is growing on me... maybe if the highlights in the bike were burned it would look just like a shadow and add more interest, though? ~lydia

A lesson to us. You don't need much blue and yellow as long as it's strategic. -COAmature

I've decided that I kind of like the bike silhoutte and the little road thingys are interesting. I guess it's the contrast of the two are what I'm intrigued with here.

Thanks Debi & Gerald:-) I was focused on the cats eyes in the road Debi so the bike is only a prop not a focal point I was hoping for a bit of blur as they drove by. If it was sharp it might detract from the focal point.......I think:-)
Guest 27-Apr-2008 19:34
I dont like this much, somehow the cycle looks blurry - Debi
ctfchallenge27-Apr-2008 17:25
Minimalistic use of yellow and blue. This is fine as there are no other saturated colors. If you intend to exchange your entries some more times during this challenge: Keep this one, Rod. -Gerald
