This does look gloomy with the shadows and mellow yellow paint - job well done to get that across through your photograph. But now that second daughter is gone, I'd paint and make her wish she could be back more often with some sunny crispness :) jano

Thanks, Doug. This daughter decided to go to NYU nearby so at least we can see her as frequently as she will allow. -tv

Congrats on getting another one into college. Nice framing with the windows. I'm thinking that a B&W conversion might blow the mellow yellow concept. -COAmature

Maybe try it in B&W wiv the right side being darker it might suit the gloom thingy.
