Brent, the gray gradient in the shades is a characteristic of the shade itself, either by design or manufacturing imprecision. They are intended to be light blocking and insulating, made of pressed and textured vinyl and this is how they actually look. -tv
Much more gloomy in B&W. What are those shadows outside the windows Tommy? At first glance I thought you had burned them in to give it the feel of prowlers outside. Maybe they are your prise Rhododendron bushes? Well done at any rate- mate ;-)

My boys used to have those glow-in-the-dark stars on their ceiling, Tom. I showed my daughter the photo and she told me she'd stolen one from her brother's ceiling and named it "Elizabeth". Good memories. Good photo here. I like it in BW. It brings out the quilt and the light. ~Lydia
