Thanks Everyone. Christina, I could not do justice to yours and thanks for the inspiration.

I didn't realise it was a cookbook I just looked at the picy. I don't know about the bright bits being kitchen utensils, looks more like a toilet bowl & bidet to me:-)

thanks for this tribute troy! I've been trying to get back to CTF challenge, but I'm so damn busy I never get time to shoot for the challenge... but I keep my eye on it! I like what you did with this. I like that it's clear what the book is. The color is great as is the DOF. Nice work!

Nice. I wouldn't burn much here, perhaps the brightest area along the top only.
The text is recipes, and the background objects remind of kitchen utensils. Suits the image, imo.

Well done Troy this is a really nice & clear picy. I think the bright parts of the background are a little distracting, for me I would burn them in (darken) Well done grumps:-)

Go ahead and do it. I would like to see your version!

Thanks Lydia and Sue Anne. The color difference is tha actual color of the page. It's a cook book with color inserts. The only PP here is curves, selective lab sharpen, and minor noise reduction. I tried three different lenses before getting the DOF results.

Well done, Troy! I like hte color difference from one lens to the other... Interesting DOF... I like it. ~Lydia

Nice one with the glasses and I can even read the fine print.
