One at a time...

Stockholm, Sweden

© 2008 Jonas Svedberg

Not used to use tele lenses. (I'm a ”wideangle guy”).
And not used to shoot birds. These rascals are fast!

=)

This almost looks like a painting! Nice shot Jonas and I don't mind the softness or the grain either! :-) CJ

This almost looks like a tinted old black & white. Nice effect however you got there. The bird seems to be in the act of some special carpentry. -tv

The grain is from the severe underexposure (tried to preserve tonality of the sky) and crop. And yes a flash would have been right to have but this was a snapshot ”on the way”. (These birds was very fast as well.) And I dont mind ”grain” either, coming from B/W film days.

Good action capture. Was the grain added in photoshop, or is it a result of recovering a dark exposure? Since you were shooting into the sun, I think this would have been a good candidate for stopping-down and using flash. - J.V.

Great timing. The grain adds to the effect. - RK
