Thanks Gerry and JV! I haven't had time to redo this yet - been helping lay 1000 sq ft of tile - now THAT'S tension! I'll try to get ot it before voting. CJ

I am imagining what this would be like in colour and think th eright tones would be magnificent. -mcbit

I like the mood of this one. You could personify this as "an individual in a crowd" -J.V.

Yes, hue +14, sat -18 should hit about right, master channel. And then add another tweak: Does it have something called "Color Balance" or "Selective Colors"?

If "Color balance", choose "highlights", and add +10 on the "yellow-blue" slider.
If "Selective Colors": Check "Method: "Absolute"", then select "Whites" in the color dropdown box, and slide "Yellow" to approximately -10".

Again: Color taste vary, mine may well be rubbish. Play around. The effect depends on the values in Elements being the same as in PS anyway. Idea is to get less red. Sepia, as I see it, is yellower than this. Adding a wee bit blue to the whites in this color landscape later, adds a little "tension" :)

Elements doesn't have curves - maybe I can just take the red down in hue/sat? CJ

Very nice and calm. Everything about the luminance here is great. Colors are an individual thing, but this is too red for my eyes. If you allow, I'll place a suggested toning in pending, or mail it to you? Basically a curves thingie.. does Elements have curves..

The top image was taken at f/5.6 to get a more shallow DOF and the lighting was from a different angle too. I'll see if I can work on it and get the tones to match better. CJ

Yeah I like these kinds of shots too, but seldom have the patience to make it work. Like Rod, maybe I need to get more in touch with my feminine side. This is great Carole as a closeup and group portrait of the wheat (I think) or maybe just some weed. Anyway the only problem on my monitor is the slight difference in sepia shade between the two images. (Was the top also f/9?) -tv

Thanks Lydia and Rod! I was trying to get 2 brightly lit golden color shots but it wasn't to be. I may play around with the color tones in this a bit...... if I have time. :-) CJ

This is really lovely, it's the type of shot that I like to get it has that feminine touch:-)
I really like this/these picys, excellent megirl.
