I thank you all for your comments (and votes). My grandfather's body died this past August and would have been 100 years old in a couple of weeks. He witnessed many great and many sad events in his century of life here... including the deaths of two of his grandchildren. He was an amazing man whom I loved/love dearly and have the greatest respect for. Thanks for liking his image with me. Here he is on his way out of the elevator in his assisted living place... going downstairs for a meal... greeting everyone that he met with a smile: ~Lydia

Thanks, all... I've adjusted it a bit, JV. My thanks. Rod, my dad IS still a kid. Ask him. *grin* ~Lydia

First class emotional hijacking ;) Even harder to resist than kid pictures! And a great concept, nicely cropped and framed.

Good combination of images tells a powerful story even without the explanation. -tv

That's just unbelievable 99 wot a great age. I imagine he still thinks of your Dad as a kid:-)

This is a touching set of pictures lydia. The detail in the hands is nice. If you cropped a little off the top, that would allow you to post a wider picture, and show more detail, while staying under the file-size limit. It'd also bring you closer to keeping the larger image less than twice as big as the smaller.

Thank you, Rod. It is my father (on the right in each shot) and his father (age 99 here). ~Lydia

Well at least one of the blokes has feminine hands:-)
Nicely done.
