Bugger now we can't have any more fun:-) I like the look of this now but the brain having seen the drop shadows feels something is missing. Can you put put some flat borders around, it will help with the withdrawal symptoms. One other thing, if you really enjoy doing drop shadows don't worry about wot I or we say, life is short mate:-) The colours & forms do stand out better now.

Oh come on.. you don't need to look further than at your Internet browser's title bar. Those (contemporary) graphic designers make a fine buck. It's all about mastering the craft, noone was born drop-shadowers. Learning by trial and error is the best way. I should know.. you're talking to the plastic-bag-lady lol -k2

I disagree Kiki the only way to cure the problem is to not have silly drop shadows at all as they're a scourge from every Graphic Designer using them a decade or more ago. Every picy in me junk mail back then had a bleeding drop shadow, thankfully it's time has past........Well in me junk mail if not here:-)

Yes.. these certainly belong. Nice "inverse" shapes and light :) Good color on the border as well. A minor nitpick: The dropdown shadow is very generous.. If I look at the border in the middle or right side, it becomes 3D; no longer a shadow but a solid pole bulging out instead. An optical illusion but slightly distracting. (If you reduce the height of the browser window so you only see the middle of the picture, it's easier to immediately see what I mean: Now the left side border suddenly looks alone in its "flatness"..). A narrower shadow would diminish that effect. -k2

I like these best for the subtle ways they are held together as a pair in spite of the very different and contrasting lighting. The repetition of the arches keeps my eye darting around. Good selection. -tv

Yes the inside outside works nicely, well done mate. I also like how the sun cast shadows from the picys to the background borders.

On a second look, and as great as they are, I think the red frame takes away from these beautiful photos. If they were my pics (yeah right) I'd go for light gray or light brown. This is just me though, the choice is yours obviously.
