tv, left one is a vertically full-crop, so i cropped the right/portrait one closer to make the kid size comparable in the pair. I like this version the better. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yes the continuation of the pond works well. Nicely done Abs.
these are both great shots - I like the simple palette of contrasting colours (RGB,W) in each. and I agree the matching line of the water ties the 2 together well. - b.c.
What I like about this is the use of the pond to visually unify the two shots. It might be even better if the kids were either more different OR more similar in size. -tv
