Hmmm. I thought I left a comment earlier and I remember the earlier crop. This is better because the clutter is well seen in the center and the larger elements ride the frame all around. It's quite a successful interpretation of the topic in this version. -tv

Looks like a popular event, you've certainly captured the busy street, lots of areas are competing for our eyes attention....

Thanks for the comments everyone - here's the new edit - more cropping needed? CJ

The topic's more difficult that it would first appear, isn't it? I'd tone down the oversaturated p & s colors, esp. the green of the tree and maybe pull down the brightness in curves or levels.

John got here first and again I agree. Good material to work with, Carole. -tv

Thanks for looking Rod and John. This was taken quite some time ago with an old P&S and is one of the few cluttered shots I have. I'll play around with the crop John and see if that improves the cluttered look! :-) CJ

Nice Carole. I'm not the artist you are but I do get lots of confusion in my photos all too often. It seems to me that a crop that went from bottom right to just including the street light that has the red poster on it (include first string of lights) would provide a very busy/cluttered photo. The tree in the middle seems to relax my eyes. John

Naughty girl Carole look at those overexposed highlights:-)
